FRUSTRATED
Sorry this is a non-picture post. I have finished a few things but I have been without camera. The bf has it to take pictures of the new paint job and body kit on his car. I don't see how that is more exciting than what's on my needles but....it makes him happy like knitting makes me happy.
On to other things. I have ordered the Yarn Harlot's new book "Knitting Rules" and the new "Mason dixon knitting" book from Amazon. Here is my problem. The confirmation email says they estimate my order will be shipped May 1st. WHAT??? I went to my local chapters today and they didn't have it. When I placed the order the site said 2-3 days to ship then 2-3 days in the mail....how does that add up to being shipped on May 1st? I will wait a bit and check the status of my order (DAILY) and if it isn't shipped soon I will cancel my order and order from Chapters. Amazon was less expensive for those keeping tabs but...I am not one for delay of gratification when it comes to ordering fun new things.
I better stop now. I still have work to do on the FINAL assignment for my course. I was having a few computer problems and now have to get back to it. Hope to have my camera tomorrow for the knitting party at my LYS so...we will see if the man returns it as per my request.

Stress
Everyon deals with stress in their own way. I tend to deal in a very unproductive way. I just stop. I look at the list of things I need to do and I think about that huge assignment that is due in 6 days (YIKES) and then I do nothing. Instead of saying "holy S**T I have so much to do" and get to it, I do the opposite. I might knit a little.
Tonight I had a small assignment due. It is finished and mailed in. I can't knit and write my response so I listen to knitting podcasts while I work. I know I'm not really focusing on what is being said but ... it is comforting to hear about comforting things. It is like a little fix to hold me over to the next time I can sit and knit.
So far tonight I have not knti a stitch. But I have thought about knitting. A lot. I have looked at my needles and what I will knit with them. Here is the dilema. I have recently purchased Lantern Moon needles online. They are gorgeous...i have not used them yet....they are 3.75mm. I also bought some brittany straight needles because I love my brittany dpns for my socks. They are also beautiful... I have not used the yet... and they are 3.75mm. WHY would I buy two of the same size that I have neve used in a pattern. 3.5 yes...3.25 yes but never 3.75. My next thought....maybe I can get gauge on 3.75 mm for something that really calls for 4mm. Yes I will try... after i'm done my WIPs of course.
Not much knitting but here is one of my WIPs. Rapunzel from Rowan knit in Rowan kid classic.
I am now almost finished the back but here are a few pictures of my progress and a close up of the pattern and back cable.

After the Water Subsides
I have come to the conclusion that while I take pride in the work I do, I am a lazy person. I do not want to do more than I have to do. I had this whole week off. I thought I would get so much work done. Instead...I got a lot of knitting and sleeping done and not much work. I'm back to work tomorrow and I have a huge assignment still for my online course.
My parents were also away this week which lets me revert back to my lazy university days. The couch was my friend. Until the basement flooded. I am 24 like I said, my life experiences to date have not included the trials of home ownership. When I had my apartment there was two things to do when something happened. Call the landlord or call DADDY. So what was I going to do when daddy was in Jamaica. Well I called the boyfriend who is mechanically inclined but knows nothing about plumbing, I called the neighbour next door, I called my uncles. Luckily I was able to clean up the water on my own and my uncle and aunt came over to make sure I wasn't going to be in over an inch of water again the next day. THANK YOU AGAIN!!
Back to the knitting. I promised to post some pictures. I have started this new blog and a new photostorage site so we will see how this works. If there are no pictures you know how it went.
I have one thing to cross of my WIP list and those are the Thum mittens from fleece artist. This is the second pair I have made and I love love love them. I plan on doing more for christmas presents (like 5 more pairs maybe hmmm)
Here they are:
I was also almost finished the baby sweater for my mother's friend. I put a collar on it and mom liked the hooded pattern better so I ripped out the collar and am working on the hood

Hello,
My name is Sarah, I am 24 and I live near Toronto Canada. I am a knitter. In fact my boyfriend says that I have an addiction and I need help. He has decided to help me. I have a list of projects on the go. He has made me promise that I will see them all through to completion before I start anything else. Once I have conquered my list he says I can have one larger project and one smaller project on the needles at a time but that is my limit. I have been trying to get my WIPs in check for a while so this blog will document my journey to finish the list and then my knitting after that. See I'm optomistic that this is possible.
This is not my first blog. I had one a while ago and let it slide. I got a new job and kept promising myself that I would post more often...more often turned into not at all. Along with my job I have been taking a course online. This week I have had a week off and nothing but knitting to show for it. I can't believe my procrastination. Suddenly I'm back to work in a few days (everyone knows how weekends go) and I could really use another week off.
Anyway, I was really excited to get back to blogging. Hopefully I will be better this time around and keep it up. So sorry no pictures this time. Maybe later tonight or tomorrow. For now here is my WIP list. I am close to being able to cross a few things off of it soon. Maybe more than one by the end of today?
1. Baby sweater for mom's friend (needs to be seemed and then sew the buttons on)
2. Green check scarf
3. Pink Grad Tee
4. Red Gauntlets (1st one done)
5. Slippers for Aaron
6. Fleece Artist Shawl
7.Fleece Artist Thrum Mittens (1st one done)
8. Rowan Rupunzel Cardi
9. Blue and Red Socks
10. Tropical Sunset Socks (1st sock done)
11.Breast Cancer Socks (1st one done)
